1. One-Off Donation/Regular Giving
If you would like to make a regular donation to Chilterns MS Centre that would be wonderful. You can click on the link here www.justgiving.com/chilternsmsc/donate/ and use the Just Giving website. It is a very easy process and Gift Aid is automatically added if you are a UK tax payer. Giving regularly aids us to plan to provide our services forpatients for the future with confidence. It is also a really cost efficient way of giving, as our administrative costs are kept to a minimum. If you would prefer to have a Standing Order form, please contact Fundraising.

Is there a minimum I can give?
You can give you whatever you like; it will automatically come out of your salary.

How do I donate through Payroll Giving?
All you need to do is click here for a printable form, fill it out and hand it into your HR or Payroll department.

What if my company hasn't signed up to Payroll Giving?
It is easy, your employer will need to sign up to a Payroll Giving Agency (PGA) who do all the hard work for you, distributing donations to the employee's chosen charities.

How do I find out about Payroll Giving Agencies?
There are around nine HMRC-registered Payroll Giving Agencies (PGAs) and these are all listed on our useful links section.

3. Share Giving
Donating shares, no matter how large or small, is a very tax efficient way to give to the Chilterns MS Centre.

Basic rate taxpayers could save up to 22% income tax – costing them only £7,800 on a £10,000 donation (up until April 2008)

After April 2008 the relief will be reduced to 20% in-line with the basic rate tax changes (costing the donor £8,000 to donate £10,000 of shares)

Higher rate taxpayers could save up to 40% income tax, costing them only £6,000

Capital gains tax does not apply to charitable gifts of shares.

If you would like to discuss the donating of shares click here to send us an email, adding ‘Share Giving’ in the subject line.

4. In Memoriam Donations
If you would like to remember someone special, such as a loved one or a friend, you can make a donation to Chilterns MS Centre in their memory. It is easy to do so.

You can either donate on-line here http://www.justgiving.com/chilternsmsc/remember ; alternatively send your donation by post. Please let us know the name of the person that your donation is made in memory of.

5. Leave a Gift in your Will
Have you thought about leaving a legacy or a gift in your Will to Chilterns MS Centre?

It is vital for the Centre that gifts, no matter how big or small, are left to Chilterns MS Centre to secure the future of the care that we provide for our patients with MS.

If you have included the Centre in yourWill it would be really helpful if you could inform Fundraising so youwon't be approached again and also for us to say thank you! Please click here to email us stating you are interested in leaving a gift in your Will. You can be updated on information about MS and the Centre that is of interest to you. We have Pledge Forms and Codicil Forms if you would like to makean amendment to your Will. Thank you so much for your support and for enabling patients with MS to be treated and supported by the Centre.
