Alternative Gifts

Alternative gifts are increasing in popularity with more and more people deciding to request donations are made to the Centre instead of receiving presents. We have recently had donations made to us to celebrate weddings, Christmas and birthdays.

Les Barber recently did just that - he celebrated his 60th birthday Caribbean style and invited 60 of his closest friends attending his celebration to make a donation. Les said “When you get to my age there really isn’t anything you need and I would much rather the money that would have been spent on presents be put to good use. If more of us did this, charities would receive much needed income and more people could benefit from their work.” A wonderful total of £1,040 was split between the Chilterns MS Centre and another chosen charity.
