Grant Making Trusts & Major Donors
Grants from Trusts and major donors have made a substantial contribution to our work over recent years for which we are extremely grateful. In 2011 we received donations and pledges totaling £545,000 from grant making Trusts and major donors.
Examples of how grants we have been awarded will be used:
Full and part funding for some of our clinical posts i.e. Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapists, Head of Professional Services; £5,000 will cover the salary of all our clinical staff for one week.
- treatment beds for patients - approximately £1,300 each
- podiatry equipment
- DVD to promote our work - £1,000
- IT infrastructure and telephone system - £16,000
- a new, double, hyperbaric chamber for our new building - £111,000
- funding towards our new building and hydrotherapy pool, due to be completed in August 2012
- kitchen and laundry equipment in our new building
- the funds to set up and operate for one year our new Carers’ Support Group
- a grant towards our reserves to make us more secure during these difficult financial times
- unrestricted funds towards our general operating costs
Without this amazing support we would not have been able to provide over 13,336 treatments to our patients in 2011.
We welcome visits from Trusts and individuals and are happy to provide information on any aspect of our work. We are now able to take visitors on site to see how well our new building is progressing.
