Building Manager Vacancy

Building Manager Required

Full-time – c £25k to £28k depending on experience

The Chilterns MS Centre near Wendover, Bucks is the heart of a thriving charity providing care and support for people affected by Multiple Sclerosis in Buckinghamshire and surrounding counties.  The smooth operating of the building is an essential foundation for enabling the capacity and delivery for the quality of care we aspire to, day in day out. The recent COVID19 experience has challenged much of what we do at the Centre, but we are now in a reopening phase, with plans to become fully functional as regulations and funding permits. You will, therefore, play a key role in supporting and shaping this next phase for the Charity.  You will be joining our busy, dynamic and friendly management team dedicated to helping our members live happier and healthier lives. Your part in this mission will be to ensure the building and plant is safe, secure, clean and compliant at all times, enabling the front line clinical staff and other support departments to work safely and effectively at all times.

The building of 14k sq. ft. now about seven years old, includes a large hydrotherapy pool, a hyperbaric oxygen chamber and other more standard equipment and plant, all of which must be maintained in tip-top condition.

You will achieve this with the support of a small team of staff and volunteers.

The successful candidate will have experience in running the facilities for a similar (or larger) organisation. You will be a confident communicator and team player with a hands-on/can-do attitude. You will have solid administrative, I.T and written skills and the ability to handle complex workloads in a sometimes high pressured but supportive environment. You will also need to have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability and confidence to work with a wide range of people. You must be able to work independently and as part of a team, managing your own time and several projects simultaneously.
