Geoff Barrett – Volunteer Oxygen Operator
I’m a new recruit as I’ve only been a volunteer here for the past couple of months. I was talking to my neighbour, who also volunteers here, and she said that I would be brilliant as an oxygen volunteer and bullied me into coming along! I’m ex-army so I like the technical side of things. I was really impressed with the Centre and so I decided to try it.
I enjoy volunteering because it’s really good fun. It’s really nice to be helping people and everyone who has the treatment seems to enjoy it – they all have a smile on their face when they come out of the tank.
I would absolutely recommend that people try volunteering. The Centre is nice; especially the cakes and you get the best cup of tea in Aylesbury! It’s a really friendly place to be and I enjoy it.
