Hours: 4-5 days a week (30-37.5 hours a week)
Salary: £32,000 to £34,000 FTE
Location: Flexible, but a minimum of 2 days a week at the Chilterns MS Centre in Wendover.
About the role
The Chilterns MS Centre provides the treatment, tools, knowledge and a community of health professionals and peers to empower people living with MS to thrive.
The charity is looking for a Communications Manager to develop and lead exceptional internal and external communications. The role will include creating compelling and emotive stories to inspire our supporters across a wide range of platforms, as well as creating engaging content for our MS members.
This role includes social media management, local media liaison, regular communications to our members, supporters and volunteers and supporting our fundraising team with promoting upcoming events and fundraising activities.
Excitingly, this role will also lead the creation and delivery of a rebrand for the charity in late 2022 as we are looking to extend our work beyond MS and to other neurological diseases. The communications strategy will support this work through the rebrand and ensure an increase in engagement to the Centre.
The right candidate will be an exceptional storyteller and have significant experience in communicating across a wide range of channels. They will have an excellent understanding of digital and social media.
The role is located at the Chilterns MS Centre in Wendover, but some remote working will be considered.
