Hours:  Part-time  (27.5 hours a week)

Grade: Band 2

Location: Wendover, Bucks

About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join our Integrated Clinical Team, working with people affected by Multiple Sclerosis.  Our mission is to support our members to lead healthier and happier lives through offering holistic, goal-based intervention with a strong focus on self-management.

We are looking for an enthusiastic Band 2 Physiotherapy Assistant to join our existing team of therapists.  You will predominantly work in the physio department supporting the qualified physiotherapists to deliver treatment sessions on a one-to-one basis as well as in small groups. You will also be expected to work in close collaboration with the rest of the clinical team and with colleagues across the whole Centre.  The role will involve administrative tasks, data collection and equipment checks.  Supported by a team of experienced therapy staff, this post offers a potential candidate the ideal opportunity to gain a wealth of experience within this setting.

This post would be suitable for an individual with a particular interest in working with people and a passion for enabling those they work with to live their best life.

Previous experience in a clinical or care setting is preferable.

The Job

  • To work with registered Physiotherapists to provide a responsive and effective physiotherapy service within the Chilterns MS Centre.
  • To assist the physiotherapist, and to treat a delegated caseload of patients, who have previously been assessed by a physiotherapist.
  • To actively contribute to the Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) of the service through the implementation of clinical audits, patient surveys and the evaluation of outcome measures.
