Local Rotarians Put Their Best Foot Forward To Support The Centre

When Run Prestwood was cancelled in 2020, Great Missenden and Prestwood Rotary Club decided to still support the Centre by taking part in our Virtual Run Prestwood. Normally they are used to a more leisurely pace, as they traditionally marshall the route of the annual 10k race.  This year they decided to become the participants.

Rotarians Briana, Bren and Paul raised £460 between them in sponsorship.  The money, along with the donations from the other Virtual Run Prestwood participants, will help the Centre to give much-needed therapy and support to people in the local area living with MS.  Many people found it hard to get to their regular therapy during the pandemic and their mobility suffered as a result.  Physiotherapy, and in particular hydrotherapy, is a great way to help people get moving again and improve their overall mobility and fitness.

Taking part in Run Prestwood this year meant we could do it on our holiday, it was great to see places you’ve never seen before.
