Skydivers raise an incredible amount!

It was a year in the making but the last of our skydivers took to the skies last month.  Along with those who jumped last year, our brave skydivers have raised almost £20,000!  This is an incredible amount of money that will go such a long way to help us to continue supporting and treating people living with MS.

Along the way, there were several ups and downs.  Bad weather meant the first couple of jumps were postponed, and then along came the pandemic.  Luckily all of this just made the team more determined to carry on and raise these vital funds.

For many of them, it was a once-in-a-lifetime experience – it was enjoyed by all but won’t necessarily be one they repeat in a hurry.  Andy Copeland said, “I loved it”.

Julian Annells of DAF trucks has written a blog about his experience.  He said:

I thoroughly enjoyed it, and wouldn’t have missed it for the world. Would I do it again? If I was younger and more supple, definitely. And if you get the opportunity to have a go, go for it!

Thank you so much to everyone who made the leap.  This really is an incredible amount and we are really proud of all of you.  Thank you to you and all of the people who sponsored you.

If you would like to raise money for the Centre you don’t need to jump out of a plane.  From a cake bake to raising donations through your online shopping, there are so many ways to get involved.  Check out our fundraising page for more ideas.
