Tee-rrific success of Chilterns MS Centre’s Charity Golf Day

The Chilterns MS Centre welcomed eighteen teams of golfers to the exclusive Stocks Golf Club in Aldbury last Friday for their annual Charity Golf Day which raised £8,500.

Under the glorious sunshine in the beautiful Hertfordshire countryside, the players enjoyed some good natured competition and, in the end, only a few points separating the top teams and players. The team victory went to Moss Men with a stableford score of 97 points, while the individual winner was one of their team members, John Osborne, with a score of 44 points.

The winners were presented their trophies at a special prize-giving ceremony after the event which also included a barbecue, raffle and silent auction to help raise funds for the Wendover-based charity.

The Centre would like to thank EIC Insurance for sponsoring the event and helping to make it happen.

“We are so excited to be able to hold these kind of events again,” said Stella Kubale, Head of Fundraising at the Chilterns MS Centre. “The last few years have been hard on all charities, especially small charities like ours, so to have people come out and support us again just means so much to us.“

Our  next Charity Golf Day will take place on Friday 9 June, again at Stocks Golf Club. Sign up to our newsletter to be informed of when registrations open. In the meantime, check out our Flickr library to see all the photos from this year’s event.

The Chilterns MS Centre provides treatments and services to people with multiple sclerosis, empowering them to live healthier and happier lives. More recently they have begun a pilot programme to open their services to people with other neurological conditions, starting with Parkinson’s Disease.
