A Birthday Gift from Tring Lions Club
The Tring Lions Club has generously donated £350 towards the Centre’s 35th birthday initiative Challenge 35. After receiving contact from our fundraising team, the club decided that although they couldn’t take part in a challenge themselves, they did want to give a donation.
The Tring Lions Club is part of the larger Lions Club International, one of the largest community service organisations in the world. It is made up of local people raising money for good causes in their local community. They have traditionally raised funds by running the Lions Bookshop in Hemel Hempstead, local collections, putting on fundraising events like quizzes, and an annual carol concert in Tring on Christmas Eve. Despite their activities coming to a stop this year they still wanted to make a donation to help support some of the many people living with multiple sclerosis in Tring and the surrounding areas.
The club has been a supporter of the Centre for many years, and this donation will go towards ensuring we can keep supporting our members affected by MS both virtually and in-person through the pandemic. Our heartfelt thanks go to all of the club members for their generosity.
