KALEIDOSCOPE ART GROUP

The Kaleidoscope Club is an informal, welcoming group with the aim of enjoying the uplifting qualities of art through a social group. We share skills and knowledge, learn new skills or revive forgotten ones, it is as much about the appreciation and love of art as it is the creation of art. Our themes and topics evolve naturally –there is no end to the possibilities! As a group we explore the use of different mediums and it is aimed at all abilities.

We have three parts to our group sessions:

Practical – we explore how you can adapt existing skills and adapt different uses of artistic techniques so all artists can continue with their passion.

Appreciation – we use existing pieces of artistic work of an artist as a focus for appreciation, discussion and possible inspiration.

Observation – a big element of our group is to consider the visual/sensory world through a variety of medium including objects and photographs.

WHY IS A GROUP LIKE THIS SO BENEFICIAL?

Enjoying social and leisure activities within a group setting can help in many ways, both physically and emotionally. This can include lifting mood, reducing stress and improving confidence by providing a feeling of achievement. If you feel you aren’t Arty enough to get creative, but enjoy looking at the end product, this Club is still for you! It is an opportunity to form new friendships and widen your support network.
